Spotlight Series: Tracey Beveridge
People are our greatest asset. Without them, PC Group wouldn’t be where it is today. To honour those who keep PC Group running, we’ve launched our Spotlight Series. This series will focus on the individual achievements and journeys of key staff members who have made PC Group into what it is today.
This spotlight will shine on one of PC Group’s longest-serving team members, Tracey Beveridge, our Group Head of People and Executive Assistant to the Board.
Tracey’s Journey
Tracey first joined Personnel Checks on a temporary contract in 2011, providing maternity cover to a member of our operations team. But it wasn’t long until her impact was felt.
Within a month, she was offered a permanent role — one that marked the start of a 14-year (and counting) career that has evolved alongside the company itself.
In those early days, Tracey was immersed in application processing and customer support — a hands-on, manual process that demanded attention to detail and strong people skills. She handled daily invoicing, kept operations running smoothly, and became known for her ability to balance precision with pace.
As the business grew, so did her role. Tracey moved into the compliance and countersigning team, gaining deeper knowledge of industry regulations before branching out into a new challenge — supporting the company’s sister recruitment agency. There, she built on her operational experience and stepped into the world of HR, laying the foundation for what would become a pivotal area of focus.
Leading Our People
Today, Tracey wears many hats — Head of People, Executive Assistant to the Board, ISMS Manager, Office Manager, Project Manager… the list goes on. She is often an unsung hero in the business making sure everything is where it needs to be.
Over the years, she’s taken on HR, payroll, compliance, project support, and most recently, executive-level leadership support. During the pandemic, she worked closely with now-CEO Jack Mellor to help steer Personnel Checks through a period of major transition — contributing to strategy, culture, and the long-term stability of the business.
Tracey’s role today is shaped by her ability to flex between detail and big picture, process and people. She supports the Board, leads HR strategy, manages compliance frameworks, and helps ensure the business runs like clockwork.
Whether she’s supporting senior leadership, managing internal projects, or championing a people-first approach to HR, Tracey does it all with calm, capability, and care. She’s a steady hand in a fast-moving business — and we’re lucky to have her.
“Tracey is one of those people you can trust to just get it done — no drama, no noise, just quiet, consistent excellence,” says Jack Mellor, CEO. “She’s been instrumental in shaping how we work and how we care for our people.”
While she may have joined on a temporary contract, Tracey is an integral member of the PC Group family. Her story is also a reflection of what makes Personnel Checks – and PC Group – different: a place where people can grow with the business, step into new challenges, and be recognised for the impact they make behind the scenes.
